It’s the hypocrisy for me. That’s really what gets me. The double standard of it all. We could have a whole conversation about when resume embellishment becomes outright lying, who does it, where to draw the line, etc. And don’t get me wrong, I am bipartisan in my abhorrence for dishonesty. But the story here is about George Santos, a newly elected Republican congressman for New York, who admitted that he “embellished” details about his education, career, and personal relationships in the time leading up to his election as a Congressman. And Democrats and the mainstream media are out for blood and calling for his resignation because they are horrified and outraged that the people elected a politician who lied to them.
Here’s the thing, though. HAVE THEY NOTICED WHO’S IN THE WHITE HOUSE?! HAVE THEY EVER HEARD OF JOE BIDEN?!
Y’all, President Joe Biden is perhaps the greatest serial liar and resume embellisher in the history of American politics. It’s so bad that even the New York Times had to admit that he has a problem with lying about the details of his personal and professional history. They wrote an entire article about him being a pathological liar, titled, “Biden, Storyteller in Chief, Spins Yarns That Often Unravel; President Biden has been unable to break himself of the habit of embellishing narratives to weave a political identity.”
We have a serial résumé embellisher in the White House as President of the United States of America. Weird how you suddenly care about résumé embellishment by politicians. #Biden @POTUS #POTUS https://t.co/gecyzlj743 pic.twitter.com/U3P7Vp7KsE

Biden lies about everything! Even things that are insignificant or easily fact-check, like his house burning down and almost killing his wife when it was a small kitchen fire with minimal damage. He lied during his first presidential campaign that he graduated in the top half of the law school he attended. George Santos said he graduated college when he never did. Both lied about their education.
Biden lied about being a truck driver, being a University of Pennsylvania professor, being appointed to the Naval Academy, getting arrested during the South African civil rights movement, his collegiate football career, and SO MUCH MORE. Meanwhile, George Santos lied about being employed by Goldman Sachs and Citigroup, about running a nonprofit, about owning properties, and about employing Pulse nightclub shooting victims. Both lied about their professional resumes.
Another hot topic is Santos’ claim that he is Jewish, which he is not. You know who else has lied about his religion and ethnicity? Biden has said he was “raised in the Puerto Rican community at home,” that he “got raised in the black church” and “got my education… in the black church,” that he “probably went to shul more than many of you,” and that he’s “been hanging around with the Greek American community for so long.” They both lied about their religion and ethnic ties.
As far as his love life goes, Santos is being blasted for claiming to be gay despite having been married to a woman. Y’all, the two are not mutually exclusive. It is distinctly possible that Santos divorced the woman to whom he was married because he was attracted to men. But while we’re on the topic of love lives, can we get some answers about Joe and Ashley Biden and the allegations of incest and pedophilia? Can we get clarification on why he seems to be addicted to inappropriately sniffing and touching women and girls (and the occasional boy)? I’d rather be accused of being a shy gay than of being an incestuous pedophile.
Both have lied. Only one admitted to his lies, and that was Santos. And yet one was seen fit to be elected as the President of the United States and the other is apparently not even fit to serve as representative for a New York district. One gets wall-to-wall propaganda coverage by a fawning mainstream media, and the other is socially crucified with wall-to-wall critical coverage by a mainstream media on a crusade of destruction.
It really is the hypocrisy and double standard for me. If lying about your personal and professional history is grounds to disqualify you from being elected, then let’s start with the President of the United States of America, the Pathological Liar in Chief.

If the House doesn’t expel Santos on Day One, it will prove that everything Dems say about Republicans is true. And make no mistake. Dems will spend the next two years making Santos the albatross they’ll hang around the Speaker’s neck.
Mark Twain said it best. To be a successful liar, you must have a good memory.
D-good, R-bad. The one standard to rule them all.
The hypocrisy is what pisses me off the most about people on the left.
