…he’s praising people who take a knee during the national anthem.

During a fairly recent town hall, someone asked Beto if kneeling during the national anthem was disrespectful. Beto said he could think of nothing “more American” than “peacefully” protesting something they’re passionate about.

“When Beto O’Rourke says he can’t think of anything more American [than players taking a knee], well I got to tell you, I can,” Cruz said.

He used Beto’s ridiculous take to make this ad, and it’s powerful. It features Vietnam Veteran Tim Lee, who lost both of his legs serving this country.
