Ted Cruz’s Challenger Says There’s Nothing ‘More American’ Than ‘Peacefully’ Protesting By Kneeling During The National Anthem

…and 2.) He called a Kennedy a “good driver”…

…and 3.) He said kneeling during the national anthem is one of the “most American” things you can do. Yes, really. During a town hall, someone asked Beto if kneeling during the national anthem was disrespectful, and Beto said he could think of nothing “more American” than “peacefully” protesting something they’re passionate about. In other words, there’s nothing “more American” than to make up grievances and disrespect our country and those who serve it by kneeling during the national anthem.

Cruz responded.

“When Beto O’Rourke says he can’t think of anything more American [than players taking a knee], well I got to tell you, I can.”

I think we ALL can.

As an example, Cruz noted that service members on military posts around the nation routinely salute the flag and stand at attention whenever the anthem is played.
