A little too late there Pete, don’t cha think?

Not only did he not show up until weeks after the incident, but he then goes ahead and LIES about having a presence there since day one.

I’m sorry, but who was there “from the first hours of the incident?” Because you sure as heck weren’t. Biden still has yet to show his face there. So please, tell me Pete, who was there? Heck, he didn’t even mention it until a week and a half after it happened…ON TWITTER. Not even in a press conference. But don’t worry, he felt strongly about the situation, and he “could have addressed that sooner.”
Reporter: "You sent your first tweet expressing concern for the residents of East Palestine a week and a half after the accident happened. Was that waiting too long?"

Buttigieg: "The answer to your question is yes. I felt strongly about this and could have expressed that sooner" pic.twitter.com/8lc0hIctNg
I feel better now. Thanks, Pete. He then stated, “I’m here for the work but not for the politics.” Which I can only assume is a dig at Trump.

Showing up for and helping the American people isn’t “politics,” Pete, it’s your job. For political reasons or not, Trump showed up before anyone in the current administration and provided water and food for the people of East Palestine. He also bought McDonald’s for the fire and police departments, which is the Trumpiest thing he could do, and I love it.
Tens of thousands of pounds of goods, food, water being delivered to the people of East Palestine, Ohio right now before Trump’s visit.

Trump paid for all of it.

President Trump telling McDonald’s workers that he knows the menu better than them 😂

He then goes on to order food to take care of the firefighters and police officers of East Palestine.
How can’t you love this guy?

I’m currently pretty annoyed with Trump. The way he has been attacking DeSantis (FOR NO REASON), and basically tearing our party apart has made me a little bitter. BUT at least he is doing something! This is the Trump I love. This is the Trump that I want more of.
Maybe Trump’s visit was purely political. But you know what? While Biden was traipsing around Ukraine and falling up stairs in Poland, Trump was actually helping Americans in need. He did more for the people of East Palestine than the federal government has, and I respect that. You know who I don’t respect? Mayor Pete and his stupid hard hat.

Democrats are only graded on intent, Anything they do will either have positive spin or be ignored.
Republicans, however, will only ever be shown in a negative light.
I guess him showing up in a hard hat makes everything all better 🤷🏻♀️
