Greta was in Germany this weekend protesting the expansion of a German coal mine when she was “detained” by German police. I’m not an expert on how German police arresting people, but this seems to be more of a photo-op to me.

So Greta’s arrest was totally legit, and not a publicity stunt at all.

According to Fox, 70 officers were injured, and nine protesters were hospitalized due to the “peaceful” protest. Based on that, it doesn’t seem like the protest was too peaceful. But I’m glad to see Greta was punished for participating in such a demonstration. Oh wait.

Meanwhile, over on Twitter, people are having a field day with this, and it’s hilarious.

Greta is annoying, we know this. But Greta protesting this coal mine expansion is extra annoying, because you might remember that Europe is in the middle of an energy crisis. They are in this crisis due to the fact that they are trying to cut down on fossil fuels, like coal, and implement green energy, which is just not sustainable. The same green energy that Greta is protesting for. It’s ironic that Germany is in the state it’s in due to following advice of people like Greta. Now that they aren’t able to heat their homes, they’re turning back to these fossil fuels to try and get out of this crisis. But yes Greta, please continue to protest the German people wanting to be able to heat their homes this winter.
