December 30, 2022I remember when the whole trendy “self care” movement ramped up. I warned my younger sisters that it would be tempting to use this popular new trend as an easy excuse for all manner of things. Mostly, I thought it would be used as an excuse to overspend or to be lazy. You know, spend a little too much on getting their nails done too often because it’s “self care.” Buying new clothes they didn’t need because it’s “self care.” Sleeping in late when they could have picked up an extra shift because it’s “self care.” Eating an entire tub of ice cream while binge watching 20 episodes of a show because it’s “self care.”
The “self care” trend coopted the fact that caring for one’s self is an important part of mental health, and then convinced young women that they could indulge in all kinds of excesses if they simply claimed it to be a version of “self care.” Then no one could criticize their indulgence or they’d be accused of basically wanting the person to have poor mental health, which would reflect poorly on the criticizer. Basically the “self care” version of woke Leftists calling people a racist or bigot if they don’t support their radical woke agenda and therefore effectively ending the conversation in their favor.
I knew it would be used as an easy excuse for indulgence and excess, but what I didn’t know was that it would be used as an easy excuse to kill babies. I definitely did not see that one coming. Apparently, sucking a dismembered (or sometimes whole) baby out of your womb is now considered “self care.” I’m pretty disgusted with society right now.

I’ve heard pro-choice people claim had Klara Hitler aborted Adolph the world would’ve been a better place. But how many women have already aborted a child that would’ve won a Nobel prize or become a great humanitarian? The simple fact is — we don’t know. But we do know the convenience-store morality of the pro-death enthusiasts, in murdering those who have no defense, is every bit as evil as Der Führer.
Child sacrifice to the cult of narcissism.
I disagree with abortion but this goes well beyond that as you are all but setting up killing of newborns (or potentially anyone else) for similar reasons.
The slippery slope is very real when dealing with these people.
