Sen. Hawley Blasts FBI Dir. Wray About Bureau’s Biased Priorities

Sometimes it’s important to just say all the things. We all know it, we all see it, but it needs to be said out loud and on the record. Sure, simply saying all the things doesn’t usually change anything, but it’s important to get it on the record in a way that succinctly explains what the major issues are. In this case, Senator Hawley from Missouri said all the things to FBI Director Christopher Wray about the blatantly biased priorities of the FBI. He touched on the fact that they’re willing to aggressively arrest pro-life activists in their homes in the early morning hours and in front of their kids, while pro-abortion activists are brazenly fire-bombing churches and pregnancy advocacy centers. He pointed out the bizarre practice (reported by whistleblowers) of pulling agents off of “child sex abuse cases” and “human trafficking cases” and retasking them to January 6th cases. He mentioned whistleblower accounts of extreme tactics being used in politically-motivated J6 investigations that in turn created a biased perception of “domestic terrorism” in this country. And to top it off, he mentioned whistleblower claims that the FBI’s “DC leadership deliberately suppressed an investigations into Hunter Biden, contrary to FBI procedure,” and that the FBI leadership has “retaliated against” whistleblowers for coming forward, which is against the law.

Now, will this scathing assessment of the FBI’s blatant bias bring about any change? No. Things need to be done to address the obvious partisan political capture of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Perhaps the whole place just needs to be gutted so they can start fresh. But it sure is nice to hear this stuff put on the record exactly like it’s really happening.
