October 14, 2022Darrell Brooks is standing trial for 6 counts of first-degree intentional homicide, 61 counts of first-degree recklessly endangering safety, 6 counts of hit and run involving death, 2 counts of bail jumping-felony, and 2 counts of battery related to domestic abuse. He is also representing himself. They say that a lawyer who represents himself has a fool for a client. But Brooks isn’t a lawyer. He’s just a fool and a scumbag. He doesn’t follow court procedure, he frequently interrupts proceedings with disruptive outbursts, and he has treated witnesses inappropriately. Yesterday, he went on a 50-minute rant in which he insisted that he does not “identify” by the name of Darrell Brooks, and demanded that the case be dismissed because his victims weren’t in the courtroom so he couldn’t face his accusers.
Today, he again insisted, “I do not identify by that name” when a witness described him driving into the parade route. But it seems that Judge Jennifer Dorow has had just about enough of this idiot scumbag making a mockery of her courtroom. Today, she sent the jury out, which apparently is a frequent occurrence as she referenced “17 interruptions” just yesterday, excluding his 50-minute rant. She then gave Darrell Brooks a stern talking to, none of which seemed to get through to him. In fact, she asked, “Did you hear what I said?” And Brooks responds, “No I did not. And I object to that, Your Honor.”

Ticking off the judge. To quote a great sports announcer- “it’s a bold strategy, Cotton, Let’s see if it pays off for him.”
The answer is, no. He is going to be found guilty on all counts in record time.
Also, this guy is giving off sovereign citizen vibes. Does anybody know if he is one of those nutballs?
I am not following this trial, but I have heard he was making those type arguments. You are 100% correct. Whether you recognize the government or their court’s the government’s judges do not care and sovereign citizen arguments are a waste of time in the government’s court.
