In the wake of reports that there is looting occurring in hurricane-devastated areas of Florida, Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd has a message for residents to help them protect themselves and their property, as well as the property of others who may not be present to protect their own property. In a Fox News interview, Judd gave the following advice:
“People have a right to be safe in their homes. They have a right for their property to be safe, even when part of their home may be torn away. And these looters, that’s unacceptable. Absolutely unacceptable. I would highly suggest that if a looter breaks into your home, comes into your home while you are there, to steal stuff, that you take your gun and you shoot him. You shoot him so he looks like grated cheese. Because, you know what, that’s one looter that won’t break into anyone else’s home and take advantage of them when they’re the most vulnerable and most weak.”

Pro tip for potential looters in conservative states– people who lawfully and routinely exercise their 2nd amendment rights don’t generally shoot to wound. They train to eliminate the threat, not just slow it down. So act accordingly.
🇺🇸 Florida, the f’k around and find out state.

I recall well-known firearms expert Joe Biden instructing women to just fire a shotgun through the door to keep people away from your house. A minor point being that’s illegal in just about every state in the union. At least the sheriff recommends you wait until the intruder is actually trespassing inside your house so you’re not violating state law.
Amen. I love this response.
Grady Judd is one of my favorites. He is the one who when asked by a reporter, years ago, why the police fired 110 shots at a cop killer (also killed a K-9 officer and wounded another policeman), hitting him 68 times, said, “That’s all the bullets we had, or we would have shot him more.”
Some more quotes.
“He intended to have a gun fight, and we gave him a gun fight.”
“We don’t choose to shoot people. They choose for us to shoot them, and if you choose for us to shoot at ya, we’re going to shoot at you a lot. That’s a guarantee.”
“Become proficient, get a concealed firearms license, and carry your gun. If you need to shoot somebody, shoot ’em a lot. You’re responsible for protecting yourself until we arrive.”
“I can assure you, if someone breaks into my home, I’m going to shoot them, and I’m going to shoot them a lot! I’m going to shoot them so much you can read a newspaper thru them! And that’s my recommendation to other people.”
“EMS arrives, they take him [criminal] to the hospital. He undergoes emergency surgery, but quite frankly, there’s no way to save him, because he’s full of holes.”
