August 29, 2022Once again, Florida governor Ron DeSantis proves he’s a class act.
On Sunday, Aug. 28, he was set to headline a political fundraiser for New York gubernatorial candidate, Lee Zeldin—but DeSantis was absent.
Why? He was paying tribute to a hero.
“The service on Monday honored Florida Department of Law Enforcement Special Agent Jose Perez, who was struck by a vehicle driven by Ysmael Sandoval, 35, in Miami on August 2. Perez died on August 20,” the Daily Wire reported.
The Daily Wire added that “Zeldin said Perez was a member of DeSantis’ security team.”
Casey DeSantis also paid her respects to Perez.
After so much disrespect over the last few years, it’s nice to finally see leaders paying tribute to the heroes who sacrifice so much to keep our communities safe.
Stay classy, DeSantis. We love you for it.
