Press Sec KJP Refers To “Historic And Life-Changing Economic Gains” Under Biden

Is it possible that some people in this country really are living in an alternate reality that is completely different from the reality in which the others live? Doesn’t matter which side is which, but maybe some are legitimately living in one reality and some in another that’s pretty much the complete opposite? I’m just floating the idea because White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre just said something that has me literally questioning my sanity and everything I think I know about reality. But then again, that’s literally the definition of gaslighting–manipulating people through psychological means into questioning their own sanity and perception of reality.

While answering press questions today, Jean-Pierre explained,

“Our goal is to keep bringing down inflation without sacrificing the historic and life-changing economic gains that we have seen, that this country has made over the last 18 months.”

HISTORIC AND LIFE-CHANGING ECONOMIC GAINS?! I was totally following her when she said “our goal.” Then I was like, wait. To KEEP bringing down inflation?? As though they’ve made all kinds of progress in bringing inflation down rather than being responsible for the historically high and devastating inflation? Weird take, but OK… Then she said, “without sacrificing,” and I was like, YASS girl, there’s been enough sacrificing. Let’s not sacrifice anything more. And then this lady went on to say, “the historic and life-changing economic gains that we have seen that this country has made over the last 18 months.” And I laughed OUT LOUD at the absolute absurdity. That is pretty much the most ridiculous thing she could have possibly said.

Gains? What gains? The return of some of the jobs that were unnecessarily destroyed by draconian lockdowns? The slightly lower gas prices after the historic skyrocketing of gas prices? The spending of hundreds of billions of dollars on student loan handouts and a proxy war in Ukraine that will only add to the devastating inflation and massive federal debt that is crippling our economy? Seriously, what economic gains, exactly? Historic and life-changing, DEFINITELY. But also definitely NOT “gains.”

So either we really are living in two completely distinct realities, one where the economy is seeing historic and life-changing gains and one where the economy is seeing historic and life-changing devastation OR the Biden Administration is just epically gaslighting the American public. You decide which is more plausible.
