White House Replaces Norman Rockwell Paintings With “Jumbo Photos Of Biden”

Politico is reporting that “iconic Norman Rockwell works of art” are being removed from the White House.

“Four Norman Rockwell panels of watercolor and black-and-white sketches featuring the White House – which have been displayed in the building since 1978 – have been taken off the walls.”

The pieces being removed are “Gentlemen of the Press,” “Beauty and Publicity Man,” “The Press Get a News Flash,” and “A Hero is Interviewed.” Included in these pieces are specific additional objects like the “President’s gas mask,” the “President’s lunch,” and the “Visitors’ Hatrack.” These Rockwell prints were created after the artist visited the White House in 1943, and prints were subsequently featured in the Saturday Evening Post that same year. According to Politico’s report, the family that owns the artwork asked for them to be returned and their request was granted last year. Politico’s efforts to contact the family regarding the situation reportedly proved unfruitful.

Really, the only thing more tragic than removing such iconic art from the White House is what they’ve chosen as a replacement. According to Politico,

“A person familiar with the matter said that several jumbo photos of Biden have since replaced the Rockwell prints.”

Can you even imagine the hubris of thinking a jumbo photo of yourself is a reasonable replacement for a piece of Norman Rockwell art? Much less four of them? But this assumes Biden has even the remotest idea what’s going on in the White House, and we all know that he does not. Perhaps they are putting up the photos of him to remind the mentally compromised President who he is?
