Dem Lawmaker To Introduce Bill To Prevent Trump From Declaring A National Emergency For Wall Funding

President Trump has made it clear that he wants to solve this wall funding/shutdown problem the traditional way– the way it’s supposed to be solved: Through Congress. However, Pelosi and Schumer aren’t budging. They’ve suddenly decided that walls are ineffective and racist. Plus, according to Pelosi, illegals can just dig tunnels, which means a wall is a waste!

Don’t even get me started on that idiotic line of logic.

They’re not getting anywhere. Trump has continued to remind them that he’d be willing and able to declare a national emergency to get it done.

It’s not an ideal situation. It could set a bad precedent, but everything’s deadlocked right now, so I can see how it’d be tempting.

Democratic Rep. Grace Meng wants to prevent that from happening. She’s introducing a bill which would stop Trump from declaring a national emergency to fund the wall.
