Word has it that Nancy Pelosi couldn’t stop talking about tunnels during their big meeting on funding the wall.
Per source in the room: Pelosi talked a lot about tunnels. She kept saying that a wall won't stop people coming through tunnels.

I really don’t understand that line of logic. Without a wall, people can just waltz on over within seconds. You can’t just casually dig a tunnel in seconds. The “but they can build tunnels” argument is completely stupid. I don’t even know why she brought it up. One has nothing to do with the other.
“It won’t solve the problem 100% so why bother doing anything” doesn’t seem like a sound argument.

Well it’s Pelosi so…
.This is like saying banks shouldn't put money in safes because people will learn to be safe-crackers.

Most of the current wall designs go deep into the ground for this reason.
Besides, you think a 'caravan' will be able to enter through a tunnel? And finding tunnels isn't that hard anymore with new tech. Ask the Israelis, they have mastered it.

Pelosi clearly didn’t think that dumb remark through.
Cue Dan Crenshaw.
Ah yes, the tunnel myth. Because it’s so easy to build tunnels. No one would ever notice. Might as well just do nothing, now that the tunneling option has been exposed.
Can we have a serious conversation now? That’d be great. https://t.co/16RDlBQoVm

THANK YOU, Dan. It’s so nice to see common sense in DC every now and then.
