Laura Ingraham interviewed President Trump last night, and Trump revealed what his administration plans to do for asylum seekers who are waiting for court hearings: Tent cities. Lots of them.
“We’re going to hold them [in detention] until such time their trial takes place,” he told Ingraham.
“We’re going to build tent cities, we’re going to put tents up all over the place. The [migrants] are going to wait [in detention], and if they don’t get asylum, they get out of here,” he continued.
“We’re not letting them into this country,” he added.

TRUMP: If they applied for asylum, we’re going to hold them until such time as their trial takes place.
INGRAHAM: Where? We have the facilities?
TRUMP: We’re going to put up — we’re going to build tent cities.

I already know what the reaction is going to be: “OMG THAT’S SO INHUMANE! How could you do that?!?!?”
I actually think it’s kind of generous. For starters, they don’t have the RIGHT to be here. We owe them NOTHING. Secondly, this is supposed to act as a deterrent of sorts. If you don’t want to end up living in a tent city, rethink the way you try to make your way here.
In related news, 5,000 troops are expected to be deployed on the Southern border.
The additional troops deployed to border will provide logistical support, medical aid, housing, transportation and a combined command post to assist @CBP with border and immigration enforcement. The 5,200 addtl solidiers includes 800 on the way from Ft. Campbell and Ft. Knox.

Trump is committed to securing the Southern border. That much is certain.
