Melania Trump Just Went On Her First Big Solo Trip As FLOTUS!

With all of this Kavanaugh drama dominating the news cycle, this totally flew under my radar.

Where has FLOTUS been? Africa! As the AP notes, this was her “first big solo international trip.”

With a wave and tweet, first lady Melania Trump headed for Africa on Monday on her first big solo international trip, aiming to make child well-being the focus of a five-day, four-country tour that will take her to every corner of the vast and impoverished continent.

The first lady opens her first-ever visit to Africa on Tuesday in Ghana in the West, followed by stops in Malawi in the South, Kenya in the East and Egypt in the Northeast.

On day 4 of Africa trip, Melania made her 1st public mention of President Trump.

“I’m sure it can be difficult to be away from the States for an extended period of time,” she told embassy staff. “My husband and I appreciate all that you do.”
