Cory Booker Places Staffers In Iowa, Signifying A 2020 Run

Cory Booker’s “Spartacus” moment was a flop. As it turns out, the documents he was whining over were already cleared for the public.

During his little tantrum, Sen. John Cornyn called him out. He knows Booker’s true motives. This wasn’t about documents.

But…but…HE IS SPARTACUS!

We’ve all speculated that Booker has his eyes on 2020, but this really reinforces that line of thinking. As it turns out, Spartacus has already placed staffers in Iowa.

According to multiple sources, Cory Booker has placed four staffers on the ground in Iowa, helping Democratic candidates, as he moves to position himself for a potential presidential bid.

Wow! It’s almost as if his little tantrum really WAS really nothing more than a publicity stunt!

He announced on Saturday that he will speak at the Iowa Democratic party’s annual gala, a key event for activists in the first state to hold presidential nominating contests.

Of course he is.

Placing staffers on campaigns is a time-tested way for potential presidential candidates to test the waters in early-voting states while building necessary political infrastructure.

But it is not a guarantee of a White House run. In 2006, Evan Bayh, then a senator from Indiana, and Russ Feingold, then a Wisconsin senator, paid for staffers to work on campaigns in Iowa. Both decided against presidential campaigns.

Something tells me Booker is serious about this. The pompous grandstanding says it all.
