Everyone Can Thank The GOP Tax Cuts For Lower Utility Rates

Liberals HATE the GOP tax cuts. They say it only helps the rich, which is load of hogwash because I know for a FACT I’ll be saving a pretty penny come April. And no. I’m not a millionaire.

Well guess what? We have even MORE reasons to love the tax cuts. They’re resulting in lower utility costs. At least 120 companies across the country are lowering rates, meaning YES. They’re passing on the good to CONSUMERS. Funny– libs always tell us that NEVER happens.

Thanks to the tax cuts passed by the Republican House and Senate and signed by President Donald Trump, at least 120 utilities across the country are lowering rates for customers, according to a report from Americans for Tax Reform. This means lower electric bills, lower gas bills, and lower water bills for Americans.

The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act cut the corporate rate from 35% to 21%. Utility companies are passing on the tax savings in the form of lower rates for customers.

Among those lowering rates? Tampa Electric, Consumers Energy, Entergy New Orleans, Kansas City Power and Light, Alabama Power, Ameren Illinois, California Water Service, Center Point Energy, El Paso Electric Company, New Jersey Natural Gas, Pacific Gas and Electric Company and Xcel Energy.

There’s LOADS more where that came from.

Funny, isn’t it? Obama JUST railed against tax cuts in his most recent speech. He was all, “So that with Republicans in control of Congress and the White House, without any checks or balances whatsoever, they’ve provided another trillion in tax cuts to people like me who, I promise, don’t need it, and don’t even pretend to pay for them.”

I promise you regular Americans DO need it, jackhole.
