We were an hour in, and the Kavanaugh hearing still hadn’t kicked off due to Cory Booker’s grandstanding.
The short version? Booker and his Democratic colleagues are still whining about documents. Please remember that, as Grassley and Cruz noted the other day, they have more documents on Kavanaugh than any other nominee. For them to act like they’re going into this blind? Totally disingenuous.
The longer version? Booker is pledging to violate Senate rules in order to release confidential documents.
“I’m knowingly violating the rules … I am releasing committee confidential documents,” he stated.

I know I’ve used this word a lot lately, but it’s a total sh*tshow. Booker is trying to go out as some kind of martyr, and his colleagues are seconds away from singing a sappy song and holding hands with him.
“If there is going to be some retribution against the senator from New Jersey, count me in. I want to be part of this process,” Durbin said.
Lol Booker accuses Cornyn of “political bluster,” urges GOP to punish him. MAKE ME A MARTYR!!
Dude’s a clown.

Durbin says he will share in whatever “retribution” Booker faces for releasing committee-confidential document:
“Let’s jump into this pit together.”

Yeah yeah yeah. We get it. Booker 2020.
John Cornyn was over it and CALLED HIM OUT.
