For one reason or another, Lebron James has decided he’s some kind of political figure now.
He’s even wearing glasses! Look how smart he is now!
Whatever, man. Do what you want.
Anyway, Lebron seems to have forgotten that it was the NFL players who decided to start protesting our National Anthem, and that President Trump simply REACTED to this blatant show of disrespect, because he’s saying Trump is using sports to divide us… or something.
LeBron James (@KingJames) says Trump’s trying to use sport to divide people, but he believes it brings people together. He sits down with @donlemon at the opening of his new elementary school for at-risk children in his hometown of Akron, Ohio. Watch 10pET https://t.co/koTK4RarqE pic.twitter.com/CQYsTz2Fzl

“And what I’ve noticed over the past few months is he’s kind of used sports to kind of divide us, and that’s something that I can’t relate to.”
Again… Trump isn’t the one who decided kneeling in front of our anthem in protest was a good idea.
Trump responded to the entire interview on Twitter last night:
Lebron James was just interviewed by the dumbest man on television, Don Lemon. He made Lebron look smart, which isn’t easy to do. I like Mike!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) August 4, 2018
The “I like Mike” comment seeeems to be a Michael Jordan reference. I don’t really get how that’s necessary, but again. Whatever.
CNN’s communications Twitter account slapped back:
Sounds like @FLOTUS had the remote last night. 📺 We hope you both saw the incredible work of @KingJames. #BeBesthttps://t.co/3Ok0z9Z6Ro

Lame.
This plays off some reports that Trump was p*ssed when Melania was watching CNN on Air Force One.
It’s all incredibly petty, if you ask me.
