This is 50 shades of crazy.
Earlier, we told you about how President Trump is kinda sorta throwing Michael Cohen under the bus. Long story short, Cohen allegedly recorded a conversation between himself and Trump two months before the election. They were discussing a payment to a Playboy model who claimed to have an affair with Trump.
Authorities obtained the tape, and Trump sounds annoyed.
Inconceivable that the government would break into a lawyer’s office (early in the morning) – almost unheard of. Even more inconceivable that a lawyer would tape a client – totally unheard of & perhaps illegal. The good news is that your favorite President did nothing wrong!

Correct – George Washington did nothing wrong. The tapeS will confirm this. As for others… #Basta #FightClub https://t.co/EsSYpngwHZ

Back to Avenatti in a sec.
Meanwhile, rumor has it Trump’s team leaked this story in order to 1.) Get ahead of it and 2.) Throw Michael Cohen under the bus.
“From people I spoke to today around Cohen’s orbit, this is something they see as coming from the President’s camp. This was a complete strategy executed in order to throw Cohen under the bus. So they see it very differently ….” – @emilyjanefox w/ @NicolleDWallace pic.twitter.com/4B26sJr15u

Discussing details about my breakfast meeting with #MichaelCohen this morning. Cohen seemed troubled and seemed to feel abandoned by Trump, he said several times that he planned to do right by his family and his country. #AllInWithChrisHayes pic.twitter.com/XKZyc2rYDm

I don’t know WHAT the deal is. But wait. There’s more. Apparently, Cohen and Stormy Daniels’ lawyer, Michael Avenatti, ran into each other at a restaurant in NYC.
Stop right there. I have a hard time believing that. What are the chances that they happened to be at the same exact restaurant in NYC at the same exact time?
Something smells fishy.
Avenatti described the conversation as “lengthy” and “frank.”
Stormy lawyer @MichaelAvenatti says his run-in with Michael Cohen this week at an NYC restaurant was “lengthy” and “frank.” And: “Had Mr. Trump witnessed this interaction, he would have blown a gasket.”

Dear Diary,
Michael Avenatti confirms he and Michael Cohen ran into each other at a NYC restaurant Monday night. Avenatti declined to say exactly what they talked about but described their meeting as “productive,” adding it “could ultimately end up being a critical” @VanityFair also reported

To top it all off, Avenatti told MSNBC that he would “absolutely consider” representing Michael Cohen FOR REAL.
New: @MichaelAvenatti Avenatti tells me he would not rule out representing Michael Cohen.

Breaking: @MichaelAvenatti says if Michael Cohen “was prepared to do the right thing”, I would “absolutely consider” representing him.
“Michael Cohen and I had a chance to converse” we had “a very positive meeting” pic.twitter.com/AGA0MTvgmq
