Sen. Kamala Harris Introduces Yet Another Horrific Idea

Sen. Kamala Harris is in the unofficial running for 2020. By that I mean, she’s not “officially” in the mix, but there has been tons of speculation. I don’t know if she counts as a “fresh face,” but it’s probably as close as they’ll get. There aren’t many “fresh faces”– you know, besides full blown socialists– over there. 

Do you want a 76-year-old socialist or a 28-year-old socialist? Take your pick!

It’s either that or Harris, who proposes equally crappy ideas, such as this.

Nationally, over 21M Americans spend more than 30% of their paychecks on rent. That’s absurd.

I introduced the #RentReliefAct to help ease the burden. This equals more money in people’s pockets at the end of the year.

That’s a terrible idea. More government isn’t the answer. It’s RARELY– if ever– the answer. That aside, those issues are so localized. You can’t answer this on the federal level. For crying out loud.

So if I get a very expensive place that I know I can’t afford, the Feds will help me? I like your other ideas but this is the first that I have to disagree with. There must be a better way. How about helping communities that build affordable housing?

This means landlords raise rents and renters pay more knowing they get a tax credit=tax payers subsidizing higher rents- bad economics

Great question. I was wondering the same thing. 30% actually doesn’t sound that bad…

Anyway, more government isn’t the answer. Of course, everyone on the left hates to admit that.
