Much to Nancy Pelosi’s dismay, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is the party’s newest darling. She beat Rep. Joe Crowley in the Democratic primary in New York’s 14th Congressional District. She’s a socialist. She believes we should give the government greater power over our personal lives. Straight up. She wants to abolish ICE. She wants the government to GUARANTEE jobs. She wants a single-payer healthcare system. But listen. She’s not a super SCARY socialist. She’s…uh…well…one moment please.
“First of all, there’s a huge difference between socialism and Democratic socialism,” Ocasio-Cortez tried to explain on “The View.” “Democratic socialism, and really what that boils down to me, is the basic belief that I believe that in a moral and wealthy America and a moral and modern America, no person should be too poor to live in this country.”
“That’s what I believe. I can understand that there may be some divisions. You know, I don’t think people wake up in the morning and say, ‘I’m a capitalist!’” she added.
I do. But yeah. She’s a full blown socialist. I mean, that was her desperate attempt at explaining why she wasn’t one, and she didn’t provide an actual explanation.
“I believe that in a moral and wealthy America and a moral and modern America, no person should be too poor to live in this country.”
That’s nothing more than a bunch of touchy-feely socialist mumbo jumbo.
She’s still trying to explain who she is and what she believes, and it’s pretty pathetic. She would now like you all to know that being a socialist is only “part” of who she is.
“It’s part of what I am. It’s not all of what I am. And I think that that’s a very important distinction,” Ocasio-Cortez said on NBC’s “Meet the Press.”
“I’m an educator, I’m an organizer,” she continued. “And I believe that what we’re really seeing is just a movement for health care housing and education in the United States.”
Oh. She’s an organizer. Where have I heard that one before?

Sorry. I can’t ignore the socialist part, because that ideology permeates absolutely everything else she does. That crooked ideology affects all of her political decisions, and it would ABSOLUTELY influence the way she would govern.
“Democrats are a big tent party,” she continued. “I’m not trying to impose an ideology on all several hundred members of Congress, but I do think that once again it’s not selling an -ism or an ideology or a label or a color. It’s about selling our values.”
Yes. And your “values” are sucky socialist talking points that have impoverished millions. That’s why we can’t trust you. That’s why we can’t have you. That’s why the Democratic Party should reject you.
