Earlier this year, the liberal media circulated a video of a family crying at the airport as their illegal immigrant father was about to be deported.
Sad, to be sure. But laws are laws… and he was breaking them.
Additionally, this man was married to an American citizen for 15 YEARS… the fact that he never applied for legal residency is entirely on him.
Michigan Democrat, Rep. Debbie Dingell, then invited that man’s wife, Cindy Garcia, to the president’s State of the Union address… because you know. Stopping the deportation of people who are here ILLEGALLY is this Representative’s TOP priority.
CNN felt the need to stir things back up, so they invited Mrs. Garcia on to Brooke Baldwin’s show to give an update on her poooooor husband.
What she said garnered genuine shock from the CNN host.
Cindy Garcia did not fit the liberal narrative that CNN may have been aiming for when she defended President Trump in spite of having her husband deported.
The U.S. citizen seemed to surprise CNN’s Brooke Baldwin by coming to the defense of the president and the rule of law.
GOOD. ON. HER.
Garcia could not fault Trump for “doing his job,” she told Baldwin, who asked about her views after playing a video of the family crying as Jorge Garcia was taken away for deportation.
“Yes, I am not upset at our government due to the fact that I am a U.S. citizen and that our laws come first,” Garcia said, noting that the Mexican life has “taken a toll” on her husband who has lost 30 pounds since leaving the U.S.
A. She’s awesome. Our laws DO come first.
B. I lived in Mexico my entire childhood. I never stepped FOOT in America until I was 12. I don’t know WTF that dude is up to, but there is delicious and REALLY CHEAP food down there… Believe me. It’s VERY hard to starve to death in Mexico. People practically beg to feed you. I’m serious. It’s a thing.
“Our laws are just broken and need to be fixed, but I can’t be mad at Trump for doing his job because that is his job to protect us, as U.S. citizens, from criminals,” Garcia added. “The only thing is my husband was not a criminal and those are the laws that need to be fixed because they are broken for the people … brought as children, doing the right thing, and have never committed a crime.”
Baldwin seemed taken aback.
“A lot of people would be critical of this administration and I’m not hearing criticism from you,” she said.
BECAUSE SHE’S A SMART WOMAN WHO GETS THAT LAWS ARE LAWS. IT’S NOT COMPLICATED, BROOKE.
The CNN host asked the wife and mother if she had spoken yet to the White House about the case for her husband, whom she has been married to for 15 years.
“No, at this time I have not had any news from the White House. We are in the process of trying to get our appointment in Juarez to see what [Citizenship and Immigration Service’s] decision is when we go. Hopefully it’s within the next month or so and that’s what we are hoping for and we are hoping for good news when we go down there,” Garcia replied.
After almost three decades living in Michigan and raising a family, Jorge Garcia was deported to Mexico after being escorted by immigration agents at Detroit Metropolitan Airport in January, according to The Washington Free Beacon.
Three decades in which he could have applied for legal residency.
But he didn’t.
Whose problem is that?
