YIKES! Apparently Even Fergie’s Ex Feels Icky About The Whole National Anthem Thing…

Fergie murdered the national anthem last night.

I’m not talking “slayed” like they say. She didn’t “slay” it. She murdered it. She suffocated it and put it in the trunk of her car and drove it off a cliff into a lake.

It was gnarly.

Surely you know aaaall about the whole thing by now. She sang something that sounded like an oxycontin-fueled burlesque show

And everyone mocked her. (Including Roseanne Barr, who up until last night owned the “worst Anthem ever” crown)

It was so bad she felt the need to apologize... though she and her team initially seemed to think it went alright.

Anyway… while I think it was HORRIFIC… you do have to stop and remember she’s a real person at some point… and that she MIIIGHT be taking the ENTIRE COUNTRY MOCKING HER pretty hard…

Because let’s face it… that would be tough for anyone.

And you know why I think she might be taking this kinda hard?

Because her EX HUSBAND brought her flowers.

Yeeeeeahhhh… that’s a pretty sure-tell sign that she’s pretty broken up about it, in my book.

According to TMZ:

Josh Duhamel knows Fergie sings “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” but he also knows she could definitely use a little pick-me-up after her national anthem debacle — and Josh delivered.

Fergie’s ex showed up at her house Monday with a bouquet of roses and their 4-year-old son, Axl … pretty much what the doctor ordered. The uproar over her All-Star Game ‘Star-Spangled Banner’ has been so intense, the singer felt the need to apologize.

Apparently, he dropped off Axl to cheer up Fergie … Josh left the house after just a few minutes, according to photogs. The flowers, btw, came with a note from Axl to his mom.

Pretty classy move on Josh’s part.

As Fergie said in her apology … she tried her best. Ditto for Axl and Josh, we think.

Ok… that was actually pretty nice.
