If you missed John Malkovich’s tease ahead of the AFC Championship game, well stop everything you’re doing and watch it immediately. You will not be disappointed.
The NFL’s David vs. the NFL’s Goliath, for the right to play in the Super Bowl.

Great, right?! I feel pumped all over again, and the game is over.
Obviously, I’m happy with the result. A Jags victory would’ve been a fine consolation prize. They definitely gave the Pats a run for their money, but when you’re facing the GOAT, you cannot get cocky. Young teams need to learn that. Jags need to exercise discipline. They can’t let their success go to their head. Maybe next year, Jags. Maybe next year.
It’s officially set. Super Bowl LII: Eagles vs. Patriots. The Eagles positively spanked the Vikings. It wasn’t even an exciting game.
That brings me to this.
Ahead of the game, the city sent out crews to scrub Crisco all over Philly’s poles to prevent Eagles fans from going crazy and climbing them. I am not making this up.
Good morning from Philly where crews from the city are greasing the light poles with Crisco to prevent #Eagles fans from climbing after the #NFCChampionshipGame tonight. #Vikings pregame coverage starts at 3 on FOX9. They call themselves the #CriscoCops pic.twitter.com/w1ZkYWZhYG

Just a reminder:
Crews in Philly greased light poles and mailboxes with Crisco to try to prevent Eagles fans from climbing on things in the event of an NFC Championship win. 😂 (via @FOX9) pic.twitter.com/KFgIO35W22

For the record, they felt this was necessary no matter what. If the Eagles lost, fans would climb in grief. If they won, they’d climb in victory.
Note how the concern isn’t conditional on the outcome of the game https://t.co/09XCtmQ1u8

Another reason to love sports – creating jobs like “light pole Criso engineer”

I have so many questions, but chief among them is what happens 3 days from now with these greased up poles? https://t.co/TEwMd5zvJz

Don’t ask me.
Elsewhere in Philly, Eagles fans are figuring out how to climb light poles that are greased with Crisco. https://t.co/z2ig1wpI8d

And figured it out they did.

I hate to think what Minneapolis will look like after the Super Bowl…
