It’s so cute (and by cute, I mean nauseating) watching Schumer trying to take credit for some huge breakthrough on bipartisanship. He and his minions shut down the government FOR NOTHING. It was all pointless drama. Democrats didn’t get a DACA deal in this measure. They’re going to debate it later on, WHICH WAS THE ORIGINAL PLAN.
This was political grandstanding. Plain and simple.

Anyway, it looks like we have a temporary fix.
As I’ve said repeatedly over the past week, shutting down the government is an irresponsible way to do business. All of our important business for the American people had to be put on hold while this manufactured crisis was dealt with.

This will end the government shutdown for NOW, but it’s still idiotic. Connecting DACA to the budget is still an issue. They’re simply kicking the can down the road.
