Joy Reid Praises Fox News’ Shepard Smith For Mocking Republican Leadership

If Joy Reid praises you, you need to look in the mirror and reassess your life. That’s right, Shepard Smith. I’m talking to YOU.

It’s no secret that Shepard Smith is my least favorite Fox News personality. He gets giddy over stupid things. I’ll never forget the time he told me I was going to die for staying in Florida during Hurricane Matthew.

He said, “This storm will kill you. It will kill your children. It will kill your pets and everyone you know who wants to mess with it.”

Good times.

Smith has also allowed his bias to show in the past. Keep in mind– he’s not a political commentator so…really? Remember this tirade? He left Chris Wallace practically speechless.

“Why is it lie after lie after lie? If you clean, come on clean, you know? My grandmother used to say when first we practice to — Oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive,” Shepard said. “The deception, Chris, is mind-boggling. And there are still people who are out there who believe we’re making it up. And one day they’re gonna realize we’re not and look around and go, Where are we, and why are we getting told all these lies?”

If Joy Reid says you’re making sense, go ahead and assume that you’re doing everything wrong.

The article she linked to details how Shep got all snarky about the (then) looming government shutdown.

“Back in Washington there is one discussion: government shutdown. Of course with one party in charge of everything a government shutdown will not happen, right? I mean never in history – or at least modern history – of the country has there been a government shutdown when a single party is in charge of Washington,” he said.

“Hook, line and sinker. House, Senate, White House, on party in charge, that’s it. Republicans have it all. Yet the possibility of a government shutdown has escalated,” he added.

Republicans have it all, genius? Do Republicans have 60 votes in the Senate? ‘Cause I’m pretty sure they DON’T.

GAWD.
