It’s one thing to have a Barack and Michelle Obama inspired engagement shoot. It’s another to get their faces tattooed your body. Yet, that’s exactly what Titans WR Rishard Matthews did.

Yep. That’s the Obamas on his lower right leg.
“The first president I voted for, first black president, first black first lady,” Matthews said, according to the the Tennessean. “Myself being African American, they’re obviously great role models and they let the black community and minorities, in general, know that the sky is the limit if you put your mind to it.”
Translation: He got a tattoo of the Obamas because they’re black and he’s black. There’s no other reason. He didn’t explain how they’re great examples for the black community, and he certainly didn’t address the racial division Obama seemed to encourage. How is “more welfare!” and more “you’re a victim” talks helpful to the black community? That remains unclear to me.
Matthews, who enjoyed career highs in catches (65), receiving yards (945) and touchdowns (nine) a year ago got the ink a month before training camp opened in July. The art serves as a double meaning for the six-year veteran, who has about 20 tattoos in all. With it, he honors two prominent figures in black history while reminding his young children of what they can be.
“Something that symbolizes that the world is theirs,” Matthews said. “You can do anything you put your mind to.
“My kids are minorities and we need more minority role models in the upper areas in this nation and world in general, and what greater role models than the Obamas?”
Again, how are they role models? What significant thing did they do for the black community, besides existing as black individuals in roles of power? I don’t get it.
Look, I’m obviously into politics and have some favorite political figures, but I would never get a tattoo of a political figure EVER. Never ever ever.
In other news, this chick has an Obama tattoo.
So awesome. On my leg tattoo the inscription is Obama’s dedication to his mom in Dreams From My Father book, in ode to his presidency

It’s mixed in with the tattoo that’s for my parents. But the quote I chose is specifically to honor Obama’s presidency

By the way, I’m praying this tattoo isn’t real. It can’t be. Who would do this? WHO?
WOKE: Defending Obama’s Wall Street payout.
WOKER: Getting a tattoo of a giant face shot of Chelsea Clinton. pic.twitter.com/xSmYEyfEHX
