Gallup just released the results of its annual poll, revealing the most admired men and women of the year, and surprise! Hillary Clinton has won for the 21st time!
Americans named Hillary Clinton the Most Admired Woman for the 15thconsecutive year and 21st time overall. Since her initial win in 1993 as first lady, Clinton has topped the list every year but 1995 and 1996 (when she finished behind Mother Teresa) and 2001 (behind Laura Bush). Eleanor Roosevelt has the second-most No. 1 finishes among women, at 13.
Hillary Clinton has been the most admired woman 21 times now, but she still can’t successfully sell herself to the American people and become president. Too funny.
This may be obvious, but I don’t take the results too seriously. I mean, Angela Merkel, Michelle Obama, Oprah Winfrey, Elizabeth Warren and Angelina Jolie are on the list. (Although Carly Fiorina managed to find her way on the list too, so there’s a glimmer of hope.)
In other news, President Obama was named the most admired man. The top 10 included Donald Trump, Pope Francis, Bernie Sanders, Benjamin Netanyahu, Rev. Billy Graham, Bill Clinton and Mike Pence. Talk about a mix.
So, President Obama is the most admired man, and Hillary Clinton is the most admired woman. But America hated her so much, she lost to Donald Trump. Makes sense.
