December 20, 2016It didn’t work. After all of the preachy editorials and celebrity-infused motivational videos, the majority of electors remained faithful. Trump secured 304 electoral votes (it should’ve been 306, but at the end of the day, it doesn’t change the result). The funny thing about the left’s schtick? More electors tried to run away from Hillary Clinton than Donald Trump. Here’s the rundown, via NPR.
I don’t know if you noticed, but someone broke a glass ceiling! No, not Hillary. Four electors from Washington ditched Hillary. Three voted for Colin Powell, and one voted for a member of the Yankton Sioux Tribe, Faith Spotted Eagle!
*insert uncontrollable laughter here*
So in total, Hillary had eight defectors (some were successful, others weren’t), and Trump had two.
I love when the left’s plans backfire.
