Excuse me –
HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA
Okay – where was I?
According to this, Michelle Obama was interviewed by The Oprah as her last televised interview as FLOTUS (it’ll air on CBS on December 19). And guess what they ended up talking about during the interview?
If you guessed “How Donald Trump is going to be the End Of The World As We Know It,” you are 100% correct.
Yeah, Mrs. Obama isn’t taking the Democrats’ loss very well. But the best line (by which I mean the one that needs to be mocked the most) is the insinuation that “grown-ups” need to be in charge –
Michelle Obama fed her husband’s feud with Donald Trump on Friday as she gave a gloomy description of the hopeless climate his election win has created.
The First Lady used her final interview in the White House to tell Oprah Winfrey that a ‘grown up’ should be in charge of the country.
Well, I’m glad that we agree on that level. Problem is, there hasn’t been a grown-up in the White House for the past eight years! And I’m not even talking about all the golfing and lavish vacations paid for with taxpayer dollars (though that certainly counts).
I’m talking about the Obama administration putting partisan politics over pretty much everything else when it comes to governing. I’m talking about Obama shoving through his progressive agenda, rather than doing anything constructive regarding the economy. It’s been all about him and his legacy, rather than what the American people need.
He and Hillary lied about Benghazi, not unlike a pair of little kids lying about how Mom’s most expensive vase was broken. Rather than saying “Yep, it was a terrorist attack!”, they insisted it was the YouTube video (which is functionally the same as blaming it on the dog). All because the truth would have made them look bad.
I could go on, but I want to get to this next pile of horse manure. Because now that Barack is leaving the White House and Donald Trump is replacing him, FLOTUS thinks that Americans are huddled in their homes in despair and hopelessness. Because, apparently, she bought into the shallow message on those crappy posters with her husband’s face on them –
Looking forward to president-elect Trump’s looming inauguration, she said even though hope was lost, it was necessary to move on.
‘Now we’re feeling what not having hope feels like. Hope is necessary,’ she said in her first direct response to the November 9 election result.
OH REALLY?
I know it’s beneath Mrs. Obama to actually talk to anyone whose net worth isn’t that of a small island country (unless a photo op is involved), but she clearly has no idea what her husband’s disgustingly awful policies have done for the past eight years. And I’ll just illustrate this with an example from my own family and our business.
Since Obama took office, it has been nigh-on IMPOSSIBLE to get any substantial business deals going. Because the crash, my family’s business was booming and things were great. Then the crash happened and things sucked. And… they kept sucking. Even after they should have gotten better, we couldn’t get one stinking deal through. And it’s not like these were multi-billion-dollar Donald Trump deals. These were just small loans and such to keep the business afloat.
But you know what’s been happening since Election Day? Sweet mother of mercy, it’s like night and day! Suddenly, investors WANT to invest in small businesses, just like my family’s. They WANT to help us rebuild and even expand beyond what we were doing before (which was pretty good). For the first time since 2008, we’re doing more than merely surviving. And it’s amazing!
So, yeah… tell me more about Hope-n-Change and tell me more about how much despair Donald Trump has instill in Everyday Americans(tm). Because from where I and my folks are standing, we’re seeing the exact opposite.
Michelle Obama can take her despair and hide out in Hawaii or Chicago or wherever the heck the Obamas are going to be after January 20 (I’ve heard they’re staying in DC so the girls can finish school – that’s fine too). The rest of us haven’t had this much hope in YEARS. And it feels damn good!
