Sean Hannity spoke to WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange on his radio show Thursday afternoon. The two discussed the source of the Podesta emails dumped by WikiLeaks, and Hannity got straight to the point. Did Russia provide WikiLeaks with the emails?
“Our source is not the Russian government,” Assange said.
Now, I know many will say we can’t verify Assange’s claim, but the CIA currently can’t verify that the Russian government interfered in the election, so I guess we’re even. (I have to ask. Why would Assange have a reason to lie about his source?)
Hannity also asked Assange if WikiLeaks received any information on the RNC.
“We received about three pages of information to do with the RNC and Trump, but it was already public somewhere else,” Assange said.
That matches what Reince Priebus told Chuck Todd last weekend. No one at the RNC was hacked.
“I don’t know why you are so hot about this. I mean, the fact of the matter is, you should be happy the RNC wasn’t hacked,” Priebus told Todd. “The RNC was not hacked Chuck, and I don’t know of any employee who’s own gmail account that was hacked. I am refuting the specific fact that was made in the article that created this entire firestorm.”
Hannity also asked Assange if the information they received came from “inside” the United States. Assange wouldn’t really say.
“It has not come from a state party,” Assange said.
When asked if he believed President Obama knows he’s peddling a lie (pushing the false narrative that Russia interfered in the election in order to help Trump), Assange basically said yes. President Obama knows he’s lying.
Anyway, Hannity’s entire interview with Assange is incredibly interesting, and you can listen to the entire thing below!
