February 1, 2016Having Candace Cameron Bure on The View has been an absolute treat. That show has rarely treated conservative women with respect and dignity in the past, but who in their right mind would deliberately pick on DJ Tanner? Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar and the rest of the harpies on that set would be absolute fools to be rotten to her. And it helps that Candace is a star when it comes to explaining her Christian viewpoints in a thoughtful and productive way.
Which is what she did recently when The View discussed the news of Center for Medical Progress being indicted over their undercover journalistic efforts that caught Planned Parenthood negotiating the sale of body parts from aborted babies, while Planned Parenthood pretty much got away with it. Of course, the liberal hosts on the show were ecstatic that the precious abortion providers were let off the hook, while those EEEEEEEEVIL pro-lifers got taken down a peg (even though Planned Parenthood is still under investigation in Texas). But Candace stood her ground and dropped this wonderful line about her own pro-life stance –
“My view is it seems completely backward. I think these were people that were exposing something horrific that goes on, and to see them indicted is horrifying to me,” she said. “And I say … woe to them who call evil good and good evil.”

“I have complete compassion and understanding, and, of knowing people and having relationships in my life with the abortions.”
“Listen, I’m an advocate for the unheard voice. These are unborn voices. They cannot defend themselves, and I will always defend them,” she bravely told the View.
I feel like Candace described my own feelings about being pro-life perfectly. Whatever the circumstances that created these children, they are completely innocent of any mistake or blunder or crime. They should not be punished just because society arbitrarily decided they are going to be a problem. And if their own mothers won’t embrace them or defend them, then it falls to the rest of us to speak out and protect them to the best of our ability.
