Hollywood Idiot Alert: Snoop Dog Just Said Something RIDICULOUS About Ronald Reagan

You know how Obama just got over blaming everything on Bush? I think this is worse.

As the keynote speaker for Southwest Music 2015, washed up rapper Snoop Dog, Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr, blamed President Ronald Reagan for LA’s gang violence in the 1980s.

Because Reaganomics.

Snoop said: 'When Reaganomics kicked in, certain things were taken away, after-school programs and things of that nature. 

'Guns and drugs were shipped into the neighborhood. 

'So it was a shift of having fun and playing football to selling drugs and shooting at each other. 

'To me it was a system that was designed, because when the Reaganomics era began, that's when this began.'

He began his remarks by speaking about what life was like before the Reaganomics era began.

Snoop said: 'Early in the '70s and toward the latter part of the '70s everything was beautiful because we had ways to have fun and communicate, and those who were underprivileged, the low economic side of life, the government would provide for us, which helped us get by.

'It was a society and we all needed it and we all had it and we all helped each other.' 

I just have to LOL at Snoop’s “everything was beautiful in the ‘70s” dream. Yeah. That Carter Recession was awesome, huh? It only left a ton of Americans jobless and inflation rates as high as 13.5 percent.

So promoting free market activity and lowering the tax rates for hard working Americans totally messed up the good ol’ days. Because obviously.

In reality, Reaganomics gave the U.S. the economic boom it so desperately needed. It gave people a reason to invest. General revenue from individual income taxes alone went from $244.1 billion in 1980 to $445.7 billion in 1989. If that doesn’t signal “prosperity,” I’m not sure what does. On the grander scale, federal revenue went from $519 billion to approximately $1 trillion over the span of his presidency.

But then again, we’re talking about individuals in Hollyweird. Nothing has to make sense. Celebs just say what they “feel” and that automatically makes it so.

I mean, we're talking about a guy who said he was voting for Obama because “he's a black n*gga," "he hugged Beyonce before and sniffed her neck," “Michelle got a fat ass,” and “he smokes Newports.”

So gang violence. Totally Reagan’s fault.
