Hump Day, here we goooooooo.
On Tuesday afternoon, Michael Cohen admitted to violating federal campaign finance laws and blamed it on Donald Trump. He basically said Trump directed him to do so.
I really love Mark Levin’s take on this. It’s perfection.
“The general counsel for the Clinton mob family Lanny Davis, he had his client plead to two counts of criminality that don’t exist…It is a plea bargain between a prosecutor and criminal,” he said. “A criminal who doesn’t want to spend the rest of his life in prison. That is not precedent. That applies only to that specific case. Nobody cites plea bargains for precedent. That is number one. Number two, just because a prosecutor says that somebody violated a campaign law doesn’t make it so. He is not the judge. He is not the jury. We didn’t adjudicate anything.”
There’s more where that came from, which you can read and watch here.
I’ve been wondering if Trump would make any kind of snarky remark. Are his lawyers telling him to STHU? Will he listen? Not sure. He tweeted about Cohen this morning, but it’s not really anything that could get him into trouble. At least, I don’t think it could.
If anyone is looking for a good lawyer, I would strongly suggest that you don’t retain the services of Michael Cohen!
