“I want to help the law professors, the constitutional experts, the criminal defense lawyers, the former prosecutors and of course the professors and I want to help them understand what the law is. The general counsel for the Clinton mob family Lanny Davis, he had his client plead to two counts of criminality that don’t exist…It is a plea bargain between a prosecutor and criminal. A criminal who doesn’t want to spend the rest of his life in prison. That is not precedent. That applies only to that specific case. Nobody cites plea bargains for precedent. That is number one. Number two, just because a prosecutor says that somebody violated a campaign law doesn’t make it so. He is not the judge. He is not the jury. We didn’t adjudicate anything.”

And then he provided an example.

“As for the campaign funds thing, I think you’ll find nothing was done illegally, as it wasn’t a campaign EXPENDITURE. The wording is a contortion of the law, meant to create a media frenzy. The prosecution wanted those two counts so they could claim that this is what the law said through the plea-bargain…Say a candidate had said we owe vendors a whole lot of money. We have had disputes with them. But I want you to go ahead and pay them. I’m a candidate, I don’t want the negative publicity. So he says to the private lawyer, you pay them, I’ll reimburse you, get it done. Is that illegal? It’s perfectly legal. Yet according to the prosecution of the Southern District of New York, it’s paid at the direction of the candidate to influence the election. Yes, Mr. Prosecutor, how stupid is your point?”

Cohen doesn’t have a lot of credibility, and Dershowitz explains how guys like Cohen end up singing like birds when they’re in a situation like this.

Anyway, I’m not gonna sugarcoat here. Trump is a skeeve. This isn’t news. What he ISN’T, is a person who felt like he needed to freaking COLLUDE WITH RUSSIA in order to win. His ego is way too big for that. He didn’t need no stinkin’ Russia. And no matter who he slept with, and who he paid off to keep quiet about it, there is still no evidence of Russian collusion, which is what this entire Mueller investigation was supposed to be about.
