We love a President who cares about his supporters.
“Former President Donald Trump announced on Friday that he will be returning to the town where he survived an assassination attempt earlier this month to hold a rally honoring those who were shot,” the Daily Wire reported.
Trump took to Truth Social to announce his plans:
“I WILL BE GOING BACK TO BUTLER, PENNSYLVANIA, FOR A BIG AND BEAUTIFUL RALLY, HONORING THE SOUL OF OUR BELOVED FIREFIGHTING HERO, COREY, AND THOSE BRAVE PATRIOTS INJURED TWO WEEKS AGO. WHAT A DAY IT WILL BE — FIGHT, FIGHT, FIGHT! STAY TUNED FOR DETAILS.”
After such a traumatic event, I’m sure it will be stressful for Trump to return to that location. Doing so takes a lot of bravery, and I love that he wants to host this event to honor Corey Comperatore, the firefighter killed by the would-be assassin, and the two others who were injured at the rally, James Copenhaver and David Dutch.
Trump has some of the most passionate supporters of any candidate/president in history—and he knows it. I’ve always appreciated the respect and care he shows to his followers, and I think planning this event is a brilliant idea. Not only does it honor those who were hurt, but it also shows the refusal to be bullied into submission. I hope this is his best rally yet.
