What goes together better than peas and carrots, you may ask? TESTOSTERONE AND CONSERVATISM.
According to a study by Claremont Graduate University:
“When weakly affiliated Democrats received additional testosterone, the strength of their party fell by 12 percent and they reported 45 percent warmer feelings towards Republican candidates for president … Before the testosterone treatment, we found that weakly affiliated Democrats had a 19 percent higher basal testosterone than those who identified strongly with the party.”
In other words: soy boys really are a problem, and men at their healthiest tend to lean right.
This is an intriguing finding, especially because testosterone levels in men have steadily been declining. Could this be swaying voting trends?
An article by Healio medical news noted:
“The interesting thing we discovered was that, on average, when we measured the testosterone in the blood of a 60-year-old in 1989 it was higher than that in a different 60-year-old measured in 1995,” said Thomas Travison, PhD, of the New England Research Institutes, Watertown, Mass. “We observed the same phenomenon over a wide range of ages.”
The article by Healio also stated that smoking cessation decreases testosterone. So, smoking like a chimney = manly man. Although, having high testosterone doesn’t really matter if you die of lung cancer at 25. And we can’t have a #redwave2024 without you alive and well, now can we?”
