December 19, 2023Ummmmm I’m pretty sure this is the election interference we have all been screaming about for the last 3 years…but what do I know? The Colorado Supreme Court has ruled that Donald Trump will not be on the ballot in the 2024 Republican primary election. The ruling stated,
A majority of the court holds that President Trump is disqualified from holding the office of President under Section Three of the Fourteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution Because he is disqualified, it would be a wrongful act under the Election Code for the Colorado Secretary of State to list him as a candidate on the presidential primary ballot.
This is incredibly outrageous. All those Democrats saying that Republicans are trying to “destroy our democracy,” yet they applaud this ruling need to take a long hard look in the mirror. This is an actual attack on democracy. P.S. the Republicans were never the ones trying to destroy our democracy. But we all already knew that.

Alan Dershowitz gave a pretty good talk on his podcast today about why this decision is insane. The one point he brought up that I haven’t heard anywhere else is-
14th Amendment
Section 5. The Congress shall have power to enforce, by appropriate legislation, the provisions of this article.
-“Congress shall have…” not states.
