Here is an Israeli father, Thomas Hand, recounting the moment he learned that Hamas murdered his 8-year-old daughter, Emily.
“They just said, ‘We found Emily. She’s dead.’ And I went, ‘YES!’ and smiled, because that is the best news of the possibilities that I knew… that was the best possibility that I was hoping for.”
“She was either dead or in Gaza. And if you know anything about what they do to people in Gaza, that is worse than death. That is worse than death. The way they treat you, they’d have no food, they’d have no water, she’d be in a dark room filled with Christ knows how many people, and terrified every minute, hour, day, and possible years to come. So death was a blessing… an absolute blessing.”
Hearing his voice crack as he’s recounting all of this just breaks my freaking heart.

What a sad, sick world we live in that a father would be forced to acknowledge it was better that his 8-year-old child had been murdered then be a hostage in Gaza. These Gazans appear to be well armed and trained in military tactics. You would think, if they disapproved of Hamas’ actions on Saturday, they would be staging uprisings occasionally, but they are not. Why does Egypt not open their border with Gaza and why are not the Arab states offering to set up and fund refugee camps in Egypt if they are actually concerned for the innocent people of Gaza? Could it be because the innocent citizens of Gaza are more important as propaganda props against the Israelis then alive?
Genesis 12:3
I will bless those who bless you and curse those who treat you with contempt.
Maybe there is a reason the USA is such a great military power. Esther 4:14, New Living Translation
If you keep quiet at a time like this, deliverance and relief for the Jews will arise from some other place, but you and your relatives will die. Who knows if perhaps you were made queen for just such a time as this?”
I stand unapologetically with Israel. May Hashem avenge the innocent Israeli blood. My family and I pray for the suffering Israelis that Hashem will bring them peace and will bring the hostages home. May Hashem guide and protect the brave men and women of the IDF who are going into harm’s way to protect all of us.
