October 9, 2023Well, this is very bad. As if all the conflict between the Ukraine/Russia wasn’t enough—now Hamas terrorists have decided to jump in and attack Israel. War for everyone!
Israel’s military forces have opened up fighting in nearly two dozen locations along the Gaza border after Hamas terrorists launched thousands of rockets into Israel on Saturday morning … Iranian-backed Hamas terrorists invaded areas of southern Israel as rocket barrages launched from the Gaza Strip struck the area on Saturday, killing at least 200 Israelis and wounding at least 985 others, according to The Associated Press. A senior Hamas military commander, Mohammad Deif, announced the start of the operation in which he called on Palestinians everywhere to attack the Israelis, saying in a broadcast on Hamas media that the group launched thousands of rockets and calling the attack “the day of the greatest battle to end the last occupation on earth.”
The Iron Dome defense system was (luckily) able to block the bulk of the attack, but the casualties are still mounting.
Unsurprisingly, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said Israel is now “at war.”
Biden has voiced support for Israel and their right to defend themselves. However, Republicans have pointed out it would have been helpful if Biden didn’t, oh, I dunno, UNFREEZE $6 BILLION TO IRAN A FEW WEEKS AGO. And who funds Hamas terrorists? You guessed it—IRAN.
The funds were “supposed” to be used for a prisoner swap deal for U.S. citizens. The State Department said, the money “remains in Doha” and “Not a penny has been spent, and it will never go to Iran—it can only be used for future humanitarian-related purposes. Any suggestion to the contrary is false and misleading.”
Given my trust in the State Department is at 0.00000001%, I’m not sure I buy that one. And I’m not the only one.
And of course, The Babylon Bee never misses.
I have a feeling this is going to continue to get ugly. My prayers go out to the Israeli people as they fight to defend their land. We stand by you.

It needs to get ugly. They horror that was visited on these peace-loving people in their own land. I stand with Israel. May Hashem protect the brave men and women of the IDF as enter the viper’s nest in Gaza to bring back the hostages and destroy all those, and their supporters, who would do them harm. We need to keep the proud tradition going, like when Nixon told the US military to freely give Golda and the IDF everything they need. (We are giving American taxpayer money and diplomatic cover to those who are celebrating the terrorizing of innocent women and children. We financed this horror. Let that sink in.)
