The liberal media has had a hold on television production for too long. While there is still a long way to go when it comes to leveling the playing field, the work that The Daily Wire has put forth to create content cannot be overlooked. We need more choices, and they are working to provide choice through movies like “Terror on the Prairie” or the newest documentary addition to their catalog, “Convicting a Murderer.”
And it seems their work is paying off.
The DailyWire+ true crime docuseries “Convicting a Murderer,” starring Candace Owens, hit the #1 spot on Rotten Tomatoes’ “Best Documentary TV Shows” list this week.
“Convicting a Murderer” is now the most popular documentary TV show, sitting ahead of FX’s “Welcome to Wrexham” and Apple TV’s “The Super Models.” The DailyWire+ series, which reveals what filmmakers left out of the popular Netflix series “Making a Murderer,” premiered on September 7 and released episode 5 of the 10-part series Thursday.
The Netflix series “Making a Murderer” portrayed convicted criminal Steven Avery as an innocent victim of corrupt law enforcement in the murder of Teresa Halbach. “Making a Murderer” sparked a worldwide fascination in the case, attracting around 19 million viewers, but “Convicting a Murderer” pulls back the curtain on what viewers missed in “Making a Murderer.”
Love to see it. I never watched “Making a Murderer” for the very reasons listed above: it seemed like a one-sided ploy by the defense to sway public opinion and to ride the wave of anti-law enforcement sentiment.
I’m looking forward to seeing what other documentaries they have in store for us.
