Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve probably heard Oliver Anthony’s song “Rich Men North of Richmond.” It’s a banger.
Well, now it seems the Rich Men have finally taken the time out of their busy schedules to respond.
It’s a ballad of heartbreak and hard work, and I think we owe them all some appreciation for their dedication to our country.
Dear Oliver Anthony,

It's hard for us too. 😢
Sincerely,

These poor overworked public servants truly have earned their inflation-adjusted pension. I mean, they have to work on Mondays now. That’s going to cut a lot of long weekends at the Hamptons short.
But in all seriousness, Remy did a good job with this parody. Enjoy!

People should be made aware that bureaucrats are not there because they are able to make reasoned decisions. they are appointed or hired because they are not competent, and they surround themselves with other incompetents. They fear making a decision because they might be held responsible for their mistakes. Take the alarms and water in Hawaii as a recent example. Those decisions cost lives and there is no excuse. They come from appointments for getting the votes to get someone elected. It is patronage, plain and simple. Once an idiot gets the corner office, they force out anyone who might be a threat to them. (that would be anyone who actually knows what they are doing) People in general are unaware of that since they are busy living their lives. They also have no understanding of the role of government, civics has not been taught for ages.
