Report: Harry and Meghan Rejected After Asking for Ride Back to U.S. on Air Force One Following Queen’s Funeral

How pathetic and insufferable must you be to get rebuffed by Captain Geriatric and Dr. Pepper for a ride home?

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were reportedly denied a ride back to the United States on Air Force One from the U.K. following Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral last year.

Sources told the Daily Mail that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were reportedly denied by White House staff when they inquired about returning to the States on Air Force One with President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden after the late monarch’s state funeral in September 2022.

Insiders reportedly told the outlet that the request was a “non-starter” and would have caused a “commotion.”

The Daily Mail noted that both the White House and Buckingham Palace declined to comment on the story. The outlet also wrote that a spokesperson for the Duke and Duchess did not respond to a request for comment either.

The news comes after the Sussexes experienced a string of bad luck. In June, reports surfaced that Spotify would not be renewing the former “Suits” actress’ “Archetypes” podcast for a second season. The streaming site announced that Markle and her royal husband had “mutually agreed to part ways” with Spotify after the coupled signed an agreement in 2020 for $20 million, Page Six noted.

Earlier this year, the royals made news following their alleged “near catastrophic car chase” in New York City with “aggressive” paparazzi, that had many skeptical of their narrative.

I mean… declining this request seems like a no-brainer. That’s great news, seeing as no one in charge of our current political hellscape seems to have one anyway.

Giving the guy who thinks the First Amendment’s “bonkers” and his narcissistic, crown jewel diggin’ wife a ride home on a taxpayer funded private air bus probably wouldn’t have been a good look. Especially when the world already thought so little of you that, as the President of the United States, you were sitting 14 rows back at the aforementioned funeral.

I love that the little “climate conscious” gremlins had the balls to ask though…
