Chyron Referring to Biden as a “Wannabe Dictator” Leads to Fox News Producer’s Resignation

You know you’re living in a pretty sh*tty timeline when, as an American, you can’t call out your political representatives without fear of blowback. I mean… it’s not like this is an example of undeserved ridicule. Joe’s just as deserving as any of the other “folks…”

A Fox News producer is out at the network after a chyron on a broadcast referred to President Joe Biden as a “wannabe dictator” on Tuesday. 

Producer Alex McCaskill, who worked with former Fox host Tucker Carlson, announced on Instagram that he was no longer working for the network. McCaskill was reportedly behind the chyron which read, “Wannabe dictator speaks at the White House after having his political rival arrested,” according to the Associated Press.

“Today was my last day at Fox,” McCaskill said on Instagram on Thursday. “It’s been a wild 10 years and it was the best place I’ve ever worked because of the great people I met. But the time has come. I asked them to let me go, and they finally did. To all my friends there: I will miss you forever.”

Carlson, who was fired from Fox in April, responded to the chyron on his Twitter show “Tucker on Twitter” on Thursday. 

“Inside Fox, the women who run the network panicked. First, they scolded the producer who put the banner on the screen. Less than 24 hours after that he resigned,” Carlson said, referring to the producer who put up the chyron as  “one of the most capable persons in the building.”

“Of course Joe Biden’s not a wannabe dictator. Just because he’s trying to put the other candidate in prison for the rest of his life for a crime he himself committed doesn’t mean he has a totalitarian impulse. That’s absurd! It takes a lot more than jailing your political rivals to earn the title of ‘wannabe dictator,’” Carlson said. 

“Fair and balanced” my a$$…

I don’t expect any level of “professionalism” from cable news networks at this point, so I didn’t really see this as a big deal. In all sincerity, it was probably the most “honest” reporting that’s been done by a major network in a while. Whether you like Trump or not, Biden weaponized the DOJ to interfere with his political competition. Not to mention the fact that his hands look pretty f*cking dirty too. That all seems pretty dictator-ish to me…

I also don’t see how this was any worse than the treatment Trump received at the hands of the MSM during his previous campaigns and presidency. Actually, for CNN and MSNBC, “Wannabe Dictator” would be putting it mildly.

This looks like a pretty kick-a$$ letter of resignation to me… couldn’t have done it any better myself. If he was an employee of mine, I would’ve given him a raise. Maybe that just speaks for what a terrible boss I would make…
