The EPA’s Michael Regan just announced the proposed formation of an initiative being called the “national environmental youth advisory council,” which he describes as “a federal advisory committee.” The aim of this committee would be to engage and utilize America’s youth in the Biden Administration’s efforts to “ensure that climate change is the topic of conversation on the world stage.” He explained that the committee would “give young people, as young as sixteen, the opportunity to make recommendations directly to me and all of the staff at EPA, because young people always deserve a seat at the table.”

Now, correct me if I’m wrong here, but I seem to remember that there was another socio-political movement that specifically recruited youth for indoctrination into the movement’s ideology, and then turned them into proud participants in the movement’s radical agenda. The leader of that movement even promised they would get to be directly involved with him. Dare I say that this seems to be the first official proposal for the first official chapter of “Leftist Youth,” or perhaps even “Biden’s Youth?” Perhaps we’ll start to see proposals for a gender chapter, an equity chapter, an economy chapter, and a justice chapter, in addition to this environmental chapter. Perhaps they’ll implement new social media trends where these youth inform on those around them who violate the tenets of their radical environmental agenda or publicly shame them for their failure to comply. They would likely be rewarded online and in the media by the praise and validation of their organization cohorts and the leadership they serve. It seems the “gender chapter” is already fully, if not officially, organized in this fashion.
No, young people do not always deserve a seat at the table considering their intellectual and emotional immaturity. But what an incredibly powerful enticement it is for authority figures to tell youth that they desperately need them in their radical socio-political movement. How enticing is this kind of promised validation and apparent power of advising our nation’s authority figures? They know how to draw youth in. They’re not the first to do it.

When I was a lot younger, I hunted in the early season. I never hunted trophies. I hunted groceries. In the early season the young and stupid mammals were plentiful and easy to harvest. They were also better to eat. Young mammals are not as smart as the older who have survived by not being stupid. I’m sorry but the young have never been intelligent and if anything, in the case of humans, they have gotten stupider.
Sadly, these days the adults are getting stupider too, because the stupider young people are growing up.
