Biden Fumbles Over AAPI Movie Producer’s Name, Recycles Joke From When He Mispronounced It In March

Biden has apparently made so many gaffes that he’s actually starting to recycle his jokes to try to dismiss them. During a screening of a movie called “American Born Chinese,” Biden delivered a few very slurred and difficult to understand remarks to honor the Asian Americans who worked on the project, during which he absolutely butchered producer Joan Shigekawa’s name. He couldn’t even manage to slowly sound out her name from his teleprompter, instead mumbling some unintelligible words of apology. Then he sort of closed his eyes and thought hard before settling on a completely wrong pronunciation. But don’t worry. He jokes it off by giving her permission to mispronounce his name. He also seemed to refer to “trail grazing” or “trail brazing,” but certainly not “trail blazing.”

Shockingly, this isn’t the first time he’s publicly butchered her name, and he even used the same lame joke to try to cover up for his complete inability to even sound out her name on the teleprompter. You’d think his handlers would have helped him practice if they knew he’d already butchered it once. Then again, maybe they did and this was literally the best they could get. Back in March, Biden similarly stumbled over Shigekawa’s name. She had to help him and he responded with the same joke about how she can call him “Bidden.”
