President Joe Biden has long been teasing, but is now expected to officially announce his intention to run for president again in 2024. This announcement would come despite very poor polling and vocal Democrat voter calls for him to step aside due to his age and abysmal performance this term. Despite the will of the people, “the national Democratic Party has said it will support Biden’s reelection, and it has no plans to sponsor primary debates.”
The #Democrats are doing away with primary debates. B/c why would the people care to hear candidates defend positions & make promises when their presidential candidate has been decided for them? The illusion of choice is a tedious illusion to keep up with, so they aren’t. pic.twitter.com/L4JR6JXNit

So they’ve decided which horse they’re backing and they plan to cripple the entire process in order to help that horse win, even though it is clearly at the expense of the American people and their own voter base. To be fair, a candidate like Robert F. Kennedy Jr. would absolutely wipe the floor with Dementia Joe in a live debate. They simply can’t risk letting a better candidate get in front of the people and persuade voters to back them instead of Biden.
The Democrat Party has already decided that Biden is going to win the nomination no matter what the people want, so what’s the point of sponsoring debates with other candidates that they aren’t going to let win? All those debates do is give voters a chance to hear candidates defend their positions and make promises to potential voters. The illusion of choice is a tedious illusion to maintain, so the Democrat Party has decided they just aren’t going to try to maintain that illusion anymore.
I’m really curious how Democrat voters would feel if they thought about it this way. Do they like having their options manipulated like this? Do they like having their own political party manipulate them and their vote like this in order to ensure the success of a candidate that the people don’t actually support?

I think the GOP should buy prime-time on one or more networks and have the GOP nominee debate an empty chair. Clint Eastwood did that to great effect at the 2012 GOP national convention.
So much for democracy. How can anyone believe the “ruling” heads of the democratic party?
Are they still going with the free and fair elections thing?
Yep, they replicated the program that they got from Xi Jinping
