April 21, 2023Amid historically high and therefore devastating inflation caused by reckless government spending on things that don’t matter to the American people, Secretary of Transportation Paternity Pete Buttigieg wants to spend 20 million of the taxpayer’s hard earned and already overspent dollars developing “female crash test dummies.” This request was made in his proposed fiscal year 2024 budget that was submitted to Congress. Specifically, they intend for the crash test dummies to represent “small-sized adult females.” This is another example of the Biden Administration’s focus on their equity agenda.
I have to say, I’m a little surprised at this blatant bigotry. Seriously, how dare this man relegate crash test dummies to an oppressive binary of male and female! How dare he not spend $20 million on creating gender fluid or nonbinary test crash dummies to fight the oppressive gender binary!
Come to think of it, how would he even know which crash test dummies are female? How would they differ? If they make crash test dummies to mimic the effects of car crashes on human physiology, and then they make a male and female version, doesn’t that mean they’re admitting that there are physiological differences between males and females?
According to Verity Now, a “coalition for vehicle equity rules in transportation,” “women are more than 73% more likely to be injured in a vehicle crash than men.” They claim that “outdated crash test standards” are to blame for car crashes being more injurious to women. To be honest, there’s something to this. Consider the physiological differences between the body structure of adult males and females. Men have significantly stronger and more muscular upper bodies than women, they’re taller on average, they’re heavier on average, and their bone structure is different. So if you design car safety items and standards around a male body, it would likely affect a female body differently. Perhaps a seatbelt that could snap a smaller female’s sternum might leave only a bruise on an average male’s chest.
But again, this requires that we acknowledge that there are fundamental, biological, physiological differences between males and females, which is something the Left, and especially the Biden Administration, does NOT want to do. They prefer to blur those lines as much as possible. But blurring those lines is dangerous in real life, like in car crash standards, so they have to tread a very fine line.
